Overview Project Details

Kennedy FitzGerald are Architects for Newrycare’s 3PD bid submission for a new 12,000m2 Community Treatment and Care Centre in Newry City. Our proposals create a new Health and Leisure hub in the City Centre by co– locating the new CTCC and Newry Leisure Centre on one site. The building’s proximity to Daisy Hill Hospital facilitates shared use and supports existing health services whilst establishing a core of health services in a recognised location in the city.

The building incorporates GP Practices, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Imaging, Speech and Language, Dentistry, Orthoptics, Audiology, Mental Health, Children’s Services and will act as an administrative centre for Trust Healthcare.

Accommodation is organised around two central courtyards and a circulation spine which connects all four levels and all departmental entrances. Natural light and views into landscape courtyards characterise the internal spaces, help orientate building users and create a therapeutic healthcare environment.
