Overview Project Details

Windsor Women’s Centre works within a community development framework to develop and promote equality of opportunity and champion practices and policies to better the lives of women and their families. The centre provides access to a range of both accredited and non–accredited training and education courses, day care, after schools provision and advice and information.

As part of the overall campus of Windsor Women’s Centre, the TATE Centre provides bespoke, flexible accommodation allowing for the provision of specific community services including training and education programmes, counselling and complementary therapies.

The bright, colourful facades with a high level of transparency at street level aims to convey a strong sense of a welcoming, inclusive and non–institutional building, serving all sections of the wider community. The Building also aims to serve as both a community hub and as a symbol for the ongoing regeneration of the local area.
