The National Awards are given to buildings across the UK recognised as significant contributions to architecture and are the most rigorously judged awards for architectural excellence.

The building will now also be considered for the Stirling Prize – the biggest prize in UK architecture.

Judges commented that “the building sets a high standard socially, functionally and architecturally and provides a pleasing environment for those visiting and working within it”
The building received an RIBA Regional Award and RSUA Public Building of the year award at last month’s Royal Society of Ulster Architects awards at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall.
